How is the Shadow Oak area in West Covina?
Hi,
I'm thinking about purchasing a home in the Shadow Oak area of West Covina. Anyone have any insights, knowledge of the area? Crime, traffic, schools, etc,...? Thanks

I've heard that south of the Shadow Oak area isn't too great, along Valley Blvd. I'm just wondering how affected the Shadow Oak area is due to this.

My sister goes to meeting (Jehovah's Witness) in that area she's always been okay. I think that if you stayed east of Azusa you'll be okay.

I lived on Gemini and Shadow Oak for 28 years, and it is not really the greatest of areas no matter what the other poster says. The area is affected by La Puente that is right next to it. Mostly minor gang activity, tagging like crazy, car theft/break in. I'm not saying that you shouldn't move there, I'm just letting you know as a long time resident you should not have the sugar coated version of where you are planning on moving.
