I saw this, and I think it has nothing to do with South LA in general they were just family members trying to protect their family, I think if many people cared about their relatives, and had the opportunity to intervene they would.

There also was a five year old child so the mother was probably trying to make sure the baby was able to go to the family when she was apprehended.

They also didn't release the suspects name winch I think is odd.

There were quite a number of people confronting the police, and I doubt each and every one of them was a family member of the accused murderess. Furthermore, family members or not, I find it astonishing that numerous members of that mob initiated physical contact with the police -- I would never attempt something like that unless I was looking for them to unsheath their batons and give me a mahogany shampoo.

LMAO at you dude. You dont want to believe that the 4-5 people there were her family, but yet you want to believe that those same 4-5 people somehow are representative of all "South L.A. residents"? You logic lacks logic.

Per officers I know from 77th division, those WERE family members/friends of the driver. This was also confirmed by officers I know from 108th (who were not on scene but has access to facts and not racist b.s. like you have).

Seems a little odd to me that you'd be laughing your ass off -- not sure I want to know what you've been taking today, but have fun with that, dude.

The police in the video formed a skirmish line; why do you suppose that is? I do not believe that the people gathering at the scene (which BTW were more than 4-5) are representative of all the residents of South L.A., nor did I state that. What I do know is that this is not the first time I've seen this type of behavior (I'm guessing you're new here) and so have the police, obviously, lest they would not form a skirmish line simply because relatives of the perp wanted to express their dissent regarding the actions of the police.
