Looks like she moved with her mother to Portland and attended David Douglas High School.

My graduating class numbered less than 70, so it was a small school, but old NASCAR fans might recognize the names of Tiny Lund and Johnny Beauchamp.

Tiny was before my time in school, but he was already infamous at Harlan (Iowa) High School for rolling his car on the school's front lawn while cutting cookies around the flag pole -- or at least that was the story. He wasn't super successful nationally, but he did manage to win a few major races including the '63 Daytona 500, as he coasted to victory after running out of gas on the final lap. He was killed racing at the Talladega 500 in 1973. He was well liked, voted most popular NASCAR driver for 4 years, made it to the International Motorsports Hall of Fame and the list of NASCAR's 50 Greatest Drivers.

Johnny Beauchamp was the father of my best friend for awhile. He "won" the inaugural 1959 Daytona 500 in a photo finish with Lee Petty, but after further examination of the photos, first place was later awarded to Petty. Many still question that, as evidence suggests that Beauchamp was a lap ahead of Petty.

And for those who are really old and really into NASCAR, Dale Swanson from Harlan was voted top NASCAR mechanic for a few years in the 60s, but I don't know if he attended high school in Harlan or not. His son graduated from HHS a year before I did (had by far the coolest car in school), and I knew both of them in those years. All three, Beauchamp, Lund and Swanson, got their start racing the many dirt strips in western Iowa during the 50s.

I could also mention Donna Reed. She attended high school in the next small town north of Harlan (Denison), moved to California to attend college and ended up as a film and TV star for many years (Donna Reed Show).

EDIT: Shoot, I didn't catch that this was a California thread, but with all the above typing... what the heck.

As a “scrub” a new 10th grader sitting in the auditorium with my clarinet there was a senior and perhaps the star Soul Train dancer at the time sitting talking with me. Upon graduation Jody Watley would go on to Shalamar and when they broke up to win a Best New Artist Grammy as a dance music singer.

Most likely the most famous Soul Train dancer, being Asian with hair down to her knees, who also did music videos, including Billie Jean with Michael Jackson, Cheryl Song would be a degree of separation from me.

My little brother was one of the PeeWee football coaches for USC and NFL player Keyshawn “just throw me the damn ball” Johnson. Brenda Skyes of a Ozzie and Harriet update in the early 70’s was a big girl who lived up the street.

General people that I know about without the aid of Google or wiki:
MLB Hall of Fame Manager Sparky Anderson.
MLB Dodger utilityman Derrell Thomas
MLB All Star Chili Davis
Jazz saxophonist Eric Dolphy
TV Judge Joe Brown
Jazz/Soul Fusion band Hiroshima drummer Danny Yamamoto and maybe the Kuramoto’s
Oh and an attorney who was suspected of hiding the evidence of OJ Simpson killing a couple of people who had a daughter who had the most profitable post porn career of any sex worker that I know about, Robert Kardashian.

Jen Smedley from IMOMSOHARD. We knew each other, had classes together and lockers near each other. We weren't friends, but we knew each other. They're hilarious BTW.

Hueneme High School, home of the Vikings, over in Oxnard CA. I did not know of any when I went there. My wife went to the same High School, but 6 years after I left. We did not know each other in High School, although my wife was friends with one of my sisters. When my wife and sister were at Hueneme, Markus Redmond attended school with them. I only knew him from the show Doogie Howser, M.D. He was known to hang out in the area when he was not working. My sister ran into him while she was walking by the beach. He gave her a ride home in his BMW, while they talked about the good old days in High School.

I work in Ventura, which is next to Oxnard. Buena High School Alum, Kevin Costner still attends Basketball games at the school.
