the article is about a series of shootings on CA freeways in recent weeks, not the 101 accident in particular. (there's already a thread about that.) i posted this one because i had no idea that it wasn't the only incident of its kind lately. we all need to be careful out there, that's for sure.

regarding suicide: i heard that the police think that is unlikely, as there was no gun found in the car.

It's interesting how the media headlines the news"Californians Rattled By Freeway Shootings"....People who have never been to California or lived here probably think we live in a war zone,or that we live our everyday lives in fear.

I hope people do not negatively generalize the entire state because of this news...California has over 37 Million People in an area of over 163,000 square miles,so despite these shootings that occurred,I still believe we live in a rather safe state for it's size, and California is still a great place to live or visit.

"For the millions of miles that are traveled on California freeways, the number of shootings is few and far between," said Garrett, the CHP spokesman.
