I like 7 because they speak more about city issues and bring more relevant local news on the air. And, they have the best dressed news anchors on L.A. television. Fukuzaki wears suits that compete with Dallas Raines.

I like KTLA channel 5 news in the mornings before work because they are good about also showing "good" news instead of all the "doom and gloom" bad news. But other times, I think Im partial to channel 4 KNBC and KABC 7 whichever is showing up better in HD.

I watch Good Day LA in the AM too! I've been watching for so many years now I feel I've missed something if I skip a day. However, my favorite news coverage in general has always been the News Hour w/ Jim Lehrer (previously the McNeil/Lehrer News Hour) on PBS.
