It’s intense! You can use google earth to get an outdated view of new and under construction housing developments between here and Banning. 2d, the oblique view is sometimes more recent with better picture quality. There is warehouse sprawl east of la and Orange County which means lots more 18 wheelers. It’s going to get a lot worse - very soon. Commuters must make decent money !!

Only places in L.A where I find no traffic: Pacific Palisades and Palos Verdes. Everywhere else it has gotten totally insane.

Even the Palisades on Sunset Blvd. is sometimes awful.

Sunday early mornings usually have relatively light traffic. There are cars, but they're moving. Traffic starts to get heavy between 9 and 10 a.m., at least if coming toward the beach.

A new study suggests that charging drivers to enter an area of West Los Angeles and Santa Monica just west of the 405 Freeway and north of the 10 Freeway could lessen traffic.

Pay $4 to drive to the Westside? Congestion pricing could cut traffic gridlock, report says:

I commuted from Pasadena to Tustin a few years ago and took 110 to Downtown before getting on I-5.. usually before 6am.. didn't see that much traffic in this direction but there was plenty coming into Downtown via I-10 and I-5 and I could see the backups in the opposite directions from my POV.

Yeah, John Kobylt did a huge rant abut this today. We're not paying it.

I used to live in L.A., but not since 1988 or 1989, but I return to LA for the day about 1-3 times a month for fun. I'm now in the neighboring San Bernardino County for the last 20+ yrs & this city has been growing & building the entire time I've been living here. Lately though, I really can tell that more people are moving here for some unknown to me reason. I started a thread in my county's section about overpopulation.

Unless it's early morning on the weekends, especially Sundays, the freeways are ALWAYS crowded because there are just more people all over the place, yet the freeways aren't getting any bigger, so it's a mess.

If it were up to me, I'd make having only 2 kids at most per family a law. We have to lower the population somehow.

No traffic at 3am. But then you have to deal with mouth breathers doing 45 in the fast lane.
