R.I.P Nipsey Hussle. He was only 33 years old and becoming a well known entrepreneur, and business man outside of his hip hop persona. I can't believe it and came to pay my respects to the LA community for their loss.

I loved Nipsey. I was in LA a month ago and never got to chance to ever meet him, unfortunately. He was one of my favorite rappers and I admired him not just for his music but also for his vision of what he wanted to do for his community out there and his business sense.

RIP to Nipsey. Hope everyone in LA is doing Ok right now.

Gang member with a face and neck full of tattoos furthur perpetuating negative sterotypes about black men......and this a big loss???

And the ironic thing is...if he lived, and knew who did it, he wouldn't even tell the police because of a dumb street code that neve rmade any sense.

I'm not a rap aficionado so my salute to him is for trying to encourage people by example to invest in their own neighborhoods. So it's a loss for everyone in the nation. What dragged behind him from his past was his undoing, but despite it he had a positive message about a better future city kids can aspire to. What do they say about the Prodigal Son, that one who was lost can always find himself and reconciliation. In his actions Nipsey seems to have discovered an important mission within himself to help build up his community. This death is tragic.

Mayor is trying to be politically correct. I doubt him and this rapper wouldv'e been doing drinks and dinner if he even knew about him to begin with.

I notice Wikipedia says nothing about his education btw

It seems like he was trying to do some good in the area he grew up in , which is better than most entertainers I’d say .

But sometimes I think it sends a bad message when these former gang members become famous . Kids might think being a gang banger is a stepping stone to a rap career etc .
