All you folks need to do is look at some videos online about how people live in India in the worst slums. They live right beside the railroad tracks under the platform. It's unbelievable. And that's not even the worst. In another citiy in India a market place is ON the tracks themselves, and they move everything for the trains to pass.

India is a Caste based culture; the classes do NOT mix in anyway.

So many Americans are just delusionaly privileged and have faced no hardships beyond granny dying. It's very sad.

The same things happen on Manila railroad tracks in the Philippines.

I guess the board software saw Trump in the title and the usual suspects invaded LA unless they have a Google alert for anything Trump?

I was expecting talk about that at least the traffic jams don't happen as often as during the last administration when the local favorite President's Secret Service detail effective shut down the Westside of LA every few weeks. It used to be a common sight to watch the Marine One squadron flying around. At least up to now it hasn't happened enough for Trumpjam to replace Obamajam in the local lexicon.

You want to preach patriotism? Then stand up for your nation when it is under siege by dishonorable lunatics.
Facts would be nice. Show the facts on how President Trump is a traitor to the Constitution.

He won by a low plurality due to the absolute incompetency of the DNC in running another dismal candidate ... coupled with the crime we call the “Electoral College” system.

I’ll add that over 60,000 mental health professionals have signed a petition identifying the Donald as clearly suffering from severe personality disorders (plural) that render him not only unfit for the office he occupies - but dangerously so.

That said, the minority you are in who share your view of statements like mine ... ummm ...

The guy isn’t worth the traffic jam this thread was kvetching about.

That 6 in 10 troops - and declining - support Trump is not exactly overwhelming ... especially when military leadership thinks - and says, as I just did and will again - he’s “a moron” (James Mattis) and “an idiot” (John Kelly).
The Founding Fathers included the Electoral Collage so that the majority of States would have a say in who the President is. We do not have a Democracy we have a Constitutional Republic. The idea has always been that the road to the Presidency is made up of 51 separate votes. All 50 states and the District of Columbia hold individual elections for President. The Founders knew that in so doing it that way the theft of an election would be harder to come to pass. Without the Electoral College system New York and California could decide on the path this Nation takes to the detriment of the other states.

Trump does have an approval rating of between 42 and 44%. He is right around where Obama was in this stage in the Presidency. Compared to other Presidents he is where he should be as well. He is far under where both President Bush approval ratings had been. I was surprised to find that both 41 and 43 were further ahead than any President in the past 55 years. '

Google it if you’re actually interested. There’s too many instances to list here and we have gone off topic. I deal in nothing but facts.

Meanwhile, back to traffic and motorcades.

I know the history and intent of the electoral college ... and how it fails its original mandate:

And another view from the UK:

I also know we should continue this in the P&OC forum if you’d like ... wandering off topic a few posts here and there is par for the course ... but the full course is back to topic.
