My wife and two children (1 & 3 years old) will be moving from Ohio to LA this summer. My office will be in downtown Long Beach but I will be doing some work at LAX. We're looking to rent a two bedroom for the first year until we get our feet on the ground. Do you recommend finding a place in Long Beach or other areas such as Torrance? I was also looking at Redondo Beach but I think it's pushing it money and distance-wise. I'm hoping to keep the rent around $2k since my wife has to find a new job in LA.

I'd first recommend looking I long Beach as it's better for your budget, and much closer to your place of employment.
