You can't legislate freedom. If someone doesn't want to rent their property to somebody, that's their decision.

It certainly can be legislated ... and has since the beginning of societies ... continuously ... everywhere. You just don’t want to admit it because you like the “Great” illusion.

Large societies can’t function with un-legislated “freedom” for everyone. How silly.

It will be a cold day in hell the day we agree on anything.

Likely.

That said, would you like to dispute that all societies have, and always have had, these thingamajiggers called “laws”? And that, quite literally, in fact, “laws” “legislate” “freedoms”?

I welcome your disagreements with me on all points I prove as fact ... which repeatedly demonstrate the realities and validities of your opinions.

Your opinion is also subjective and different states have different laws. Again, mind change: zero.

That laws exist in every state and nation and society of the world is not my “opinion”. There’s nothing “subjective” about fact.

Do you deny laws exist in every society, state, and nation in the world?

Do you deny that laws define what people can and cannot do ... and therefore legislate “freedom”?

Not trying to change your mind. I’m presenting your error to the readers.

Your pissing match notwithstanding..the reality is that such laws work to discourage people from owning and operating rental properties. In other words, they would actually work to increase housing shortages for low and middle income people. If you then want the city, county and state to jump in as a large scale housing provider in the open apartment market..that would require significant additional funding that only additional taxation could provide.

I have no errors, only differentiating thoughts.
