Question What's Happening to KABC?

I keep hearing baseball when I tune in. What gives?

Haven't they carried Dodger games for a long time? I remember Mr. KABC kept getting bumped for games and it made it tough to get and keep and audience.

good question. with al rantel on sick leave, and larry elder being bumped or cut off early by baseball every other day, i've been getting to know the hosts on KFI a bit better. if KABC isn't careful, they're going to lose me altogether, because i don't like switching back and forth.

KABC used to have baseball coverage back in the 90s, and it was annoying then, too. who the hell LISTENS to baseball on the radio? it's boring enough when you can see it!

Awesome man, I feel the same way...though I'm sure I might have to get a Jon and Ken fix when I'm there. Pretty much any talk radio pisses me off...but it seems these guys are really dead set on illegal immigration issues; so, they seem cool.

I wonder whose dumb idea it was to sink this station with boring boring boring baseball on radio. I think the only ones who listen to radio baseball are cooks with dirty aprons.
The arbitron ratings show KABC sinking ever lower. Soon they will hit the bottom....
Like others my main station for talk radio now is KFI and I hardly ever turn KABC on now since so often all you get is some dumb announcer trying to liven up what is an incredibly boring baseball game.
How any nitwit at the station could have been so stupid as to bring this disastrous format back to this station beats me especially now when we have one of the most interesting presidential races in history.... and then have good hosts preempted by such idiocy.

I agree... I am really getting tired of all this baseball on KABC.
Then, when the game finally ends... there is "Dodger Talk!"

I'd much rather listen to Larry Elder and Al Rantel (and Mark Levin) because I usually hear things I am interested in.

Havent spent a second on 790 since they pushed out Mr. K for that moronic C-list wannabe right-wing talker Ziegler. Despite the fact that I disagree with them 2/3 of the time, John & Ken on KFI do cover state/local issues well and are often really funny... and even Kennedy & Suits are idiotic but kinda entertaining... while the 790 roster (Elder, Hannity, etc from 11am to 10pm) is just hackwork enciting the regular kool-aid drinkers. So good riddance if KABC is having some trouble laying in their own bed.

KABC continues to sink in LA arbitron market.
This morning KFI is 4.5 and KABC is 2.0

http://www.arbitron.com/home/content.stm

I hope this stupid baseball idea sinks them to the bottom of the market and gets the idiot that bought baseball back out of the radio career path forever.
