Default Looking for pet friendly and safe area in culver city, playa del rey, west LA

Hi,

Does anyone know some dog friendly apts in culver city and west la.

I am looking at greenlawn apts in culver city, are they good and pet friendly?

The fox hills park area has a lot of housing and is nice, but I haven't find any apt that accept dog. It seems a safe area.

The culver center area has a lot of apts. Is it a safe area as well.

How about playa del rey, any doggy community besides archstone.

The mar vista garden and helms gangster area are close so it is quite tricky when looking around culver and west la.

Thanks for any advice,

Hello!

You can check out the Alexan Fontaine complex on Maxella, in Marina. It's brand new and right next to Tower Records, the Movie Theatres, and Barnes and Noble. It's pet freindly and has a swimming pool/spa, and fitness room. It is pretty luxurious. I am not sure what they are charging for rents though. It could be through the roof!

In Playa Del Rey, you have many options. I see alot of dogs in this area. A lot of young ladies walk their lap dogs up and down Falmouth Ave.

Outside of Archstone, look into private rentals on Craigslist or take a drive through there and look for vacancy signs. I am 95% sure that Cross Creek Village only allows cats, no doggies.. I know that the Manitoba West complex allows dogs. That complex is located on Alberta...(It's just east of Archstone)

Thanks for the new info. I am moving out of marina del rey actually as the price is a little high. Manitoba west seems a condo community. I don't know falmouth but I'll check it out sometime.

Check out Playa Vista. It is very dog freindly and has at least two bark parks.

Don't know about the building, but that area is safe.

Yes. So is Fox Hills.

Thanks for any advice,
I don't think the area around the old Helms building is dangerous ; eastern Culver City is perfectly fine. It's just closer to some bad areas. Now, Cadillac-Corning (not far away) is something to be worried about ; Helms St. isn't. (The Helms gang is pretty much of a joke in the gang world, and doesn't seem to do anything other than write graffiti.) I feel safe walking around there at night, let's put it that way, which I couldn't say for the area around MV Gardens. However - UCLA is in the process of buying MV Gardens, which should mean big changes for western Culver City. Already the west end of Culver City (mostly Latino but with significant non-Latino white and Asian populations) is starting to be "discovered". I wouldn't recommend western Culver City over the area east of the 405 but I know people who live there who don't have problems ; I think it's pretty much street by street over there - one street could be perfectly fine and the next street couldn't. Definitely avoid anything right by MV Gardens for now (e.g. the area by Culver and Inglewood)
