Why do not you move to the ATL? Its cheaper and has a good economy. California is super expensive.

not really into ATL.it just never really impressed me much.ive spent a decent amount of time down there but i dont really care for the south too much.it seems to be alot of peoples mecca, but i just dont see why honestly.

i want the beach, the lifestyle, the culture, the restaurants, the scenery, the diversity, etc etc that cali has to offer. ATL just doesnt have it.

You should probably look at West LA areas like Marina Del Rey, Venice, Culver City, Playa del Rey, Westchester.

These places have excellent connectivity to the freeways, are near to the airport, reasonably quiet, very safe, and importantly within your budget provision.

I used to stay in Marina del Rey for 4 years and really loved it there. Venice beach is a 5 minute walk and LAX is 6 miles. Traffic is well regulated and not really a problem in these areas.

You'd do well to stay out of Inglewood and Compton. Too seedy.

Default Hello The Truth

So what does anyone think of Silverlake...I too am from Cinti and I completetly understand your pain in some ways....At least you have a good job I have an IT DEGREE ;and couldn't find a ;job or an opportunity to save my life. I sound one way on the phone and another way when I get there. Its's sad that I was the only black female in my class and only 3 that graduated..When I would ask my white peers in class to see if they were hiring I heard the same thing all the time...we are not or they are getting ready to lay off. I even went to temp agency only for them to tell me I will call if we find data entry...I WAS LIKE THESE UNEDUCATED AZZ HICKS MUST THINK I CAN'T READ OR WRITE...I just couldn't believe no one would help me I am stuck in Customer Service even though I have a degree it's soooooooooo sad.....so I am also thinking about LA only to start an acting career if I TRY hard...man this place angers me...IT'S NOT CONSERVATIVE IT'S CLOSEMINDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

silverlake is supposed to be good. i think im pretty settled on culver city. it looks like a good city, ive heard good about it, its in good proximity to the rest of metro la and the beach, etc etc. thats gonna be my priority when i go back to visit in march. culver and the surrounding areas that i was told were nice as well. i think im mainly gonna check out culver, burbank, studio city, silverlake, playa del rey, and west la. oh yea, im gonna go look at glendale also....

You will be fine here in LA. This place needs more professionals like yourself and your gf. If you love to be near the beach you might also want to check Santa Monica. They have great schools for your future kids.

Hi Boostin,

Have you thought about San Diego or other Socal cities? Not sure if they are as diverse as LA, but I doubt they are as problemetic as Cincy.
