Talking Moving to Los Angeles

Hi Angelinos.

To introduce myself:
I'm a french man, 27 yo currently living in paris and i'm going to move out to Los Angeles for 18 months in a few weeks.

The few questions that Id like to ask you guys are:

- Are people from Los Angeles (and other US citizens) friendly to french people or other foreigners?

- I will work very next to the airport and my max possible rent is 1000ish$/months, do you know any nice place i could stay ?
I'm looking for a safe and fun place, with young neighborhood; maybe not too far from the beach if possible

Thanks for ur replies

L.A. has so many people from everywhere that being from another place won't hurt you at all. You don't want to live near the airport. With only $1000, you will need a roommate. Venice or Santa Monica won't be too far and if you have a roommate you might be able to afford those areas. Otherwise, try Culver City. craigslist: los angeles classifieds for jobs, apartments, personals, for sale, services, community, and events

^^^ I second that. Craigslist will be the best option to find a roommate but always use caution with the site to be sure the ad is legitimate. LA is the most diverse, accepting city you'll find , totally live & let live mentality. Best of luck!
