I’ve been looking at Signal Hill houses in Long Beach on Redfin and I noticed that all the gated community houses are listed as “condo/co-op” instead of “single family residential” under the Public Facts section, even in the posh Promontory community at the top of the hill with the fabulous views. Are these houses really condos?? I’ve never seen such huge detached condos before so it’s kind of hard to believe.

I have friends that own a house up there; the views are really nice. Their house, while not on a huge lot, does seem like SFH, so I looked it up on Redfin, as well as a couple of nearby houses on other streets, and they were all listed as SFH in public facts. None were listed as condos, so, I'm not sure where you were looking.

Specifically, the area I was looking at is between Dawson and Molino north of Skyline.
