Macross21 is on a distinguished road
Recently Baldwin Park has been in the news for quite a few drive by shootings and killings. In my book any neighborhood with even a drive by shooting is not a place to be.

I remember driving through Baldwin Park a couple of years ago and a 3-4 years old playing with a ball lost it into the streets and chased it. It scared the heck out of me as he ran right into the path of my car. Luckily I saw the ball roll into the street and slowed down as I was cautious a child may go after it and I stopped right as he ran out after it. The child then started playing in the street. I literally waited for 5 minutes after I stopped as I wanted to tell his parents how dangerous it was that the child could have been hurt. To my surprise no parent was around, and the people in sight of this apartment complex didn't seem to care. I couldn't believe some parent would let their child play outside at the age of 3-4 years old and not watch. If it wasn't for me driving extremely slow and paying attention this child could have been a goner. It still terrifies me even though nothing bad happened.
