Default Moving from London to LA

Hi guys

After visiting LA back in 2005 I fell in love with the place so ive been working & saving, working & saving and now ive decided to take the plunge and move to LA for a year!

I would either like to rent my own place or share with someone but as I will be new to not only California but the good ol' USA I need advice on where to live as I do not have a clue where to start looking?

As it is so hard to get a visa I wont be working so I will be living off the money I have saved so I will be looking at about $1500 per month.

Also because of the visa situation I will need to go back to the UK a few times so I dont over run my time allowed under the visa waver systems so I will need to be able to leave my place unattended without worrying about it to much.

I should mention I am English, male and 24 years old and am looking to move around feb next year so I can save a bit more money.

Sooooo I know ive rambled on a bit but any help would be more than welcome.

Thank you

Daniel

You expect to be able to just re-enter again and again under the visa waiver scheme? Good luck with that!

You would do better coming on a student visa. With your current budget, you will need to find a roommate situation.
