We're planning to move from Palmdale to Orange County, roughly 100 miles.

Can anyone recommend a "full service " moving company? By "full service " I mean they come in a day prior and pack all your belongings into boxes, the next day the 18 wheeler comes in and move all your belongings onto the truck, drive to destination then move all your stuff into the house.

I've only experienced it with cross country moves but this is local. Not sure the national moving companies will be interested.

Atlas without question. I've used them for several (5, 6?) full service local and cross country full service moves. They handle everything including contracting out crating big/high value items (i.e. TVs, art).

Thanks. I'll give them a call.

Just an update for anyone who are also interested in this.

I got 2 different quotes from local moving companies. One quote is around $3.4K and the other is $4K. Have not figured out what the difference is but since I anticipate the move later in the summer I'll follow up to get better estimates. Interestingly enough, the lower cost estimate assumed a higher hourly rate but less hours, and the higher estimate assumed a lower hourly rate but more hours. So if I can get more realistic hour estimates than the lower cost company maybe the other guy. Any advice on how to choose would be appreciated.

Overall the estimates are better than I anticipated which was around $10K. But again my prior experience was cross-country moves.
