Default Paramount, CA?

How far is Paramount from the OC and what is the area really like? I know Los Angeles is a dangerous city with some really bad neighborhoods like Compton & Watts but I hope Paramount is OK. I do not want to move into a neighborhood with a lot of crime and gang activity. I hate that.

Don't move to Paramount. Do you work in OC? Where? Its a big county. Move closer to work to a better neighborhood.

Paramount used to be a bit ghetto. They've cleaned it up some with some local government investment in beautifying the city and better police & policy enforcement and have done a decent job, but the city still has a negative stigma. I would check crime numbers before making a decision

as far as commute to oc, its not too bad if you're heading to a western or northwestern city.. if you're going past fullerton i would probably vote against it.
