Just wondering if people would frequent an indoor roller skating rink in the Highland Park area, if one were opened.
Options are Yes, no, maybe.

Even at my young age of 83, I skate often, and would welcome an indoor rink.

Being from Encino, you probably have not been around Highland Pak in recent years.
It has taken on a whole new vibe with many new, young residents and businesses that cater to this demographic.
Highland Park is becoming one of the trendiest places to call home.
A good place to start your search of today's Highland Park, would be the eastsider.com.
It is a changed community from ten years ago, when gang activity was the norm.
There are still some scattered gang activity, but those areas are slowly being taken over by young professionals, and gangs are moving on to alternate areas.

Highland Park has been Gentrified for a while now, the cost per sq ft for homes in that zip code would blow you away. Sure, its still a little dicey, but many many hipsters, trust fund babies, and people who were born there call it home.

As a skater, I would welcome a roller rink. But Moonlight Rollerway in Glendale is not too far away.

However, I would point out Skateland in Northridge was still popular pre-pandemic, but it closed down during the pandemic, and has been purchased by the Gobberment and turned into a homeless shelter. Sad face.

Roller rinks are an example of places that need high upkeep and regular remodeling to keep them current. That wood floor + carpet needs to ripped and replaced every so often, or they quickly degrade and look lame and are not enjoyable. But I have high standards for skate surfaces.
