Angry ANGRY!!! Crime in Woodland Hills.

This really just Pi##es me off!!! I go to get in my car this morning only to find out that it was broken into sometime during the night. I really didnt expect this to happen in my own driveway. This is something that I would expect in my condo parking lot in Sherman Oaks but not in Woodland Hills.

I really wish I would have been awake when this idiot broke into my car. He would have had to deal with a vicious 120lb mastiff, two Glocks and one very very angry homeowner who is an expert martial artist. I would have broken both of his arms and taken out one of his eyes and he would be lucky to walk away. Sorry for being honest but I have no sympathy for people who steal things from hard working law abiding citizens like me.

My car registration was taken along with my bluetooth earpiece and loose change. Whats also really bad is the idiot was smoking a cigarette and left ashes on the passenger seat. Now my car smells like a smokers car.

That totally sucks and I feel for you, this has happened to me in the past. However, it goes to show that you're never 100% safe from crime, even in Woodland Hills.

I'd be mad too, but........... 2 Guns, outside of the home? I think your dog & possibly your skills would've been enough otherwise you'd be going to jail.

A 120 lb vicious dog, a marksman with two glocks, and an expert martial artist.....? Yeah, very believable.

Do you have a tank and a helicopter as well? I bet you know the touch of death also.

Nice of everybody to kick a guy when he's down.

Having someone break/steal/deface your stuff when you're not around is one of the most infuriating annoyances there is.

Try to remember that it's just property and your insurance should cover at least some of the costs. Be glad that you're not such a failure and waste of skin that you have to resort to breaking into other people's cars like the tool that broke into yours.

...

The most effective way to keep people from robbing me, I've found, is just not to own anything of value. My ancient appliances are more trouble than they're worth to cart off, as no self-respecting pawn shop would take them. My car is a heap that's worth less than the grand I'll get from the state for crushing it after it failed an emissions test. My bike is a rusted-out wreck; the lock you'd need to cut through to take it is the most expensive thing about it.

That's one of my philosophies too.

When we go on vacation I take my PC and leave it a friend's house. The only thing I can't afford to lose are our computer files (pictures and such) and all my archived City Data posts.

For auto theft protection, I always park my POS F-150 next to some fancy expensive car. Why steal a POS when you can steal a Porsche?

That's the beauty of owning a hoopdie - no one thinks they will find anything worth taking in a car that is worthless. I'm with sponger - fly under the radar and you won't have to worry about anyone taking your stuff. BTW - garages are for parking your car, not storing junk. Nothing could be safer than keeping your car inside the garage.

I'm sorry to hear about your incident - the truth of the matter is, if a criminal worthless lowlife who pilfers from locked cars sees something he thinks may be of value through a window, he'll take the chance and bust through for it. I had a colleague who was always broke, drove a POS, and had her only jacket stolen from her car (along with several CDs) - jerk saw black leather and thought he heard it saying "take me, take me".

Since I am not up on criminal motivation, can someone tell me what the car registration was taken for? Ignorant me doesn't seem to get what anyone would want with a car registration, unless it was for their own car. Is there some new kind of scam I'm not aware of?

Never said I was a marksman, but Im not bad.

It really is a terrible feeling to have this happen. I normally dont have anything of value either in the car but this was in my driveway!! In what I thought was a safe neighborhood.

I hope I dont carry this anger with me the rest of the day.
