No one ever complained about Hollywood until the 90s? Maybe you are forgetting the disdain for the behavior of actors like Errol Flynn and Charlie Chaplin? McCarthyism blacklist in the 50s? "Hanoi Jane" or the widespread discussion of the "moral decline" that led to the Manson murders in the 60s? Neighbors were good with the heroin and porn palaces on Hollywood Blvd in the 70s? People have ALWAYS complained about Hollywood, whether they lived close by or far away.

I've lived in Los Angeles since 92. I don't see any changes in the entertainment industry that have not also occurred in our society in general.

What do you actually mean when you say "completely pervasive"? Be specific, give examples.
Did you read my post? 30 years is irrelevant to my point. To help you out, the changes were already in motion when you showed up.

Be specific, give examples of why you think Los Angeles has not changed.

Oh, and by the way, I wasn't referring to the media or to actors. I was referring to changes in the tone of the environment. The physical locations.

I'm done with you. You don't want to take a viewpoint. Fine. Bye.

Huh....and I would have thought the negative film-making images would have cu m from the productions shot in San Pornando Valley in the 70's on. Living next to some of those productions houses sounds like it was a real pain in the butt.

Do you agree? <Yes> Do you agree?!? <Yes!!>

Too much?

Pretty common for every city but likely amplified here. I say ignore them and let people do their thing.

It is the difference between walking in the clouds and running a path.

They seem to go out of their way to post social media posts with them by the beach or pics of the kids they had here going to acting/gymnastics class and say things like "Oh, look another typical day for us in LA/Cali" or "My kids were born at Cedars Sinai" or "Palm trees, the ocean and acting classes today after yoga".

I wonder if Texans get as annoyed when Californians move there and try to be all "Texas" by naming their kids Dale/Cade/Cash/Stetson/Colby, etc. and post social media posts of "Look at us, we are riding horses and doing rodeo...".

These "LA Try Hards" just really annoy the heck outta me.
But why?

I mean, the types your described sounded shallow, pretentious and phony.
So, they fit right in, imo!
