Is Los Angeles really the worst place to raise kids?
If it is, then I'm in the right place because I'm childfree by choice (no criticism).
LAUSD is kinda messed up, the city is kinda pleaged with gang violence, and youths are joining gangs.
Help me understand. Is Los Angeles really the worst place to raise kids? And does LA really have a high number of childfree girls, who may be available for me?

New York is worse then LA. LA does at least have trees and grass and space.

depends. If you aren't living in an area where the homes are at least 1million dollars then yes it is one of the worst places to raise kids. The only other places I can think of is Detroit. It is all relative though. Each city has its good and bad areas. Cheaper homes = worse place, expensive homes = best place. People pay a premium to go to good schools, live in safe areas etc. Its all the price of having children.

Like in any city, there will be good schools and bad schools. It's really just a matter of finding neighborhoods that are zoned for good schools.
(And, no, I wouldn't say that LA is the worst.)

Yes, most likely. There will be plenty of babes in LA who don't want children.

Overall L.A is not a bad place to raise kids,as long as your not living in the areas that are notorious for high crime and gangs.

I forget the source, but not long ago, I read a poll that placed Los Angeles within the top ten cities in the US to raise children. I was genuinely surprised when I saw LA listed there, so I glanced through the article and read the criteria and then it began to make sense. They looked for things like zoos, theatres, museums, parks, theme parks, etc. LA has all of that and everything a person could dream of to raise a child; however, the problem is affording access to these opportunities and being able to afford housing, food, transportation, private tuition if you live in a lousy school district, etc.
Because of all of these high costs I think many people delay having children and then the decision not to have children is made by default.

Thats why I'm staying childfree so I can move to LA, away from the bad parts of course.
