Default Hollywood & the 101 to Thousand Oaks

Hi All,

I am moving to LA in July and will be working in TO. I'm young and looking for a great neighborhood. Westlake, TO, and the valley really don't appeal to me. I'm leaning toward Santa Monica and driving up the PCH to TO. I've made that commute and it took about an hour. If I was in Hollywood and could jump on the 101, what is the commute north to TO like? Much appreciation!

Someone posted almost the identical question, maybe it was work in Woodland Hills not TO. Search the threads.

Your assumptions are pretty correct. Westlake, TO, Agoura, that vicinity is family oriented, not the most happening place. Maybe towards Studio City, Sherman Oaks but they aren't much closer than SM. You would be going against traffic from SM to TO but it is not a trivial drive anyway.

I'd say about an hour if there are no hang-ups. I went from Studio City to TO for work and averaged 40-45 minutes If you had to do it during rush hour I'd say 1hour 15 minutes to be safe.
