LAUSD ended its year-round school tracks last year, so none remain. They basically had overbuilt and had to hide this error by getting rid of the extra space that year-round schools provided. Now they're pretending that charter schools are eating up space (untrue.)

My teacher husband and everyone he knows were fans of year-round: they claimed the kids retained far more with the shorter breaks all throughout the year.
