Porky's claims to be KC style, and I prefer them to the perhaps more popular Woody's... awesome pulled pork, huge beef ribs and really rich side dishes (love the cabbage & greens...)

Doesn't look so great from the outside, but nice on the inside and really friendly people. Easy access on Manchester off the 405 for those who commute that way.

Much harder to get to but worth it is the Prayer Assembly Church of God in Christ on the south side of El Segundo just before Avalon heading east... They work with giant smokers and have some amazing turkey necks... but open Fri and Sat only and need to get there around 11-12 to avoid LONG lines. Well none of this is TX style BBQ, but I really dont think we specialize in that here.

Just go to a Famous Daves...it is about the best you can find in the L.A. area...
