Default What affordable neighborhood to live in with small kid?

I live in LA and I have a toddler. Im getting really stressed out with busy lines in stores, traffic etc... does anyone know of a suburb or area in LA that is kind to kids, stores are breezy and is affordable?
I know funny right? Affordable rental housing in LA....

Where do you work?
What is your budget?
Why do you think kindness is geography specific?

Would you be willing to be 20% more for goods and services if the lines were short? There's probably a reason why there are lines.

I work in BH, Im always on a budget.
There are lines because everything is so congested!
Kid friendly means parks, bike riding, other kids in neighborhood, safe place to play outside, library, schools nearby..

How much can you afford to pay for rent? If you work in Beverly Hills, what kind of a commute do you have now? We need more specifics before we'll be able to help you.

I live in Highland Park. It is affordable, diverse, pretty laid back with hills, great taco trucks, art galleries tennis courts & swimming pools.

I think it's all going to come down to what's affordable and what kind of commute you find tolerable.
