"Real is one of 13 children of Maria Leon, the matriarch of the gang and a defendant in this case, according to law enforcement. She has a criminal record with three drug arrests and was already in custody Wednesday morning for reentering the country after a deportation."

another one of those peaceful, law-abiding folks who only sneak into our country to work hard and have a better life, i suppose.

I guess the LAPD are finally taking steps on combating the gang problem and putting an end to gang violence.

California is such a lost cause in so many areas that the best thing
to do is to vote with your feet. Return to a civilized part of the
world.

Civilized? Would that be Arkansas? Before we get into a little discussion about 'Civilized' let me just say that many states in our country have issues concerning crime and when law enforcement take a pro-active stance, it's a good thing. California is a huge state with a lot to offer 'Civilized' people. Thank you.

California is not a lost cause,but just has problems like everywhere else in the Country.

Most of California is civilized...Most of us don't live in the ghetto.

I also wanted to applaud the LAPD for their work.
