Default Apartments In Downtown Area of Santa Monica

Someone asked me about the modern apartments close to SMC and I thought I would post the info here for everyone's reference.... please add any additional buildings or info. The Idea was to have a modern apartment within walking/biking range to SMC.

Several of the newer apartment buildings are managed by "the santa monica collection". Santa Monica Collection :: Contemporary Apartment Residences in the Heart of Santa Monica..

http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/apa/734496336.html (This company has several bldgs in downtown Santa Monica and are offering a studio.

Breeze Studios 310-656-0311 Breeze Suites (cafe on 1st floor)

There are some other's closer to the promenade, but they will be more expensive. The ones above are just east of downtown's main street, quiet, secure entry and parking, and many young people and young professionals. You can hop a bus to SMC or ride a bike pretty easily.

There are many other apartments available in the Santa Monica area, however many are older 1940s ,1950-60s construction.

The section just north of SMC between SMC/pico blvd and the 10 frwy is not a very nice area and you should avoid it. South of SMC is a clean area but mostly single family homes and some duplexes, 4plexes etc. but fewer apartments.
