I've been in LA, and was lucky to get a month-to-month rental. I was just offered 2 months contract work in Walnut, and have the opportunity to move soon. Is there a decent place close by for a 23 yr old, single male with a dog? I don't really need a party scene, but some sort of life would be nice...

I'd like to get a studio or something for no more then 1400, what do you suggest...?

Would Huntington Beach, Downtown, Long Beach or Pasadena be too far...?

Yes. Pasadena and downtown LA would be reverse commutes, but they are still far from Walnut.

you may want to look into Brea or Fullerton. Not excatly close, but no too far either.

I would highly suggest San Dimas. Very beautiful place and closer than Fullerton.
