Do a search on fidm (I'm sure I have seen this addressed before)..also search on apartments near there.
Overall consensus from City Data LA forum is to live near where you will work or school. A car isn't necessary but it is pretty tough without one...some people do manage but they really are positioned well to work public transit...LA is very different from east coast cities. |

Um, if you want to be in the fashion industry I'd advise you to stay where you are.
The best fashion schools (and industry) are in NYC, Milan and Paris. |

Luis,
I take it from your post you are eager to get out into the world and show us what you can do. BRAVO, my friend. Don't lose that enthusiasm. Carrying an apartment plus tuition, esp in this town, is TOUGH. Don't make the mistake of NOT finishing your bachelor's degree. That needs to be your #1 goal, no matter what. I went 5 years without one, chugged through, and finished over 10 years. It was a serious pain, and much more difficult as you get older. Leverage your youth, get student loans, live with parents -- WHATEVER IT TAKES to finish school while you are young. Forgive me as I don't know your personal financial situation. No one can take a degree away from you, and it is the single-best investment you'll ever make, no matter the cost. Remember that. |
