There is an interesting article regarding the rise in hate crimes in L.A. (at a 5 year high +28%) and nationally. Since a common question on this board seems to be the state of race relations in the city, this may be pertinent information.
What are your thoughts regarding the article relating the rise in hate crimes to White Supremacist activities. I would think a stronger force would be the tougher economic times and the re-gentrification of some neighborhoods which have brought together increasingly diverse groups of people. Either way and interesting if disheartening article.

Ahem...yeah, these "White Supremacists" sure have been terrorizing people here in L.A. lately. I certainly believe if only we could rid Los Angeles of these endless minions of White Supremacists, we'd have a much nicer city. It certainly has been on my mind lately as one of our greatest problems...have no fear, Tony Villar is certainly the man to solve our troubles...I'm sure he'll put a "Tiger Team" or whatever right on it...

There is no epidemic of "race crimes" it`s just business. Hundreds of millions of dollars worth of drugs are sold in LA every year, the gangs are protecting there slice of the pie.
If you look under the covers I think you will find the "White Supremacists" are organizing the trafficking.

hate crime is such a bogus term. gang wars are gang wars. the gang affiliation is what matters nowadays, it doesnt matter if the gang is predominantly black, white, asian, mexican, whatever

Latinos are classified as whites in hate crime statistics - thus Latino-on-black gang-related crimes are lumped in with the tiny number of actual white supremacist incidents to give a totally false picture of what is really happening.
