The reality is worse. We are slowly moving towards Alaska.

Well, you're right. California has earthquakes every day... in the 1-2 magnitude range.

Earthquake season starts.

Yes, you are right... earthquakes happen every day. Fortunately, 99.9% of them are too weak to be felt.

Yes, I know what it means... it means that fall begins in 6 weeks.
No such thing. Just as many large quakes occur during the spring and summer. For instance:
4-8-1968 Borrego Mountain, 6.5 magnitude
4-11-1872 Owens Valley 6.6
4-14-1898 Mendocino County 6.5
4-16-1899 Eureka 7.0
4-18-1906 San Francisco 7.7
4-21-1918 San Jacinto 6.8
4-25-1992 Cape Mendocino 7.1
4-26-1992 Cape Mendocino (2 events) 6.6, 6.7
5-2-1983 Coalinga 6.5
5-18-1940 Imperial Valley 7.1
6-10-1836 Hayward 6.8
6-20-1897 Gilroy 6.5
6-28-1992 Landers 7.3
6-?-1838 San Francisco Peninsula 7.0
7-1-1911 Coyote 6.6
7-14-1918 Eureka 6.5
7-21-1952 Kern County 7.5
Get the idea? Those sure are a lot of "off-season" earthquakes!

I have another theory. I think we usually get destructive earthquakes during economic downturns. (Hey, it makes just as much sense as "earthquake weather" or "earthquake seasons"!) I've also heard that there were supposed to be massive earthquakes all over the world when the planets were all aligned; something that happens rarely and would increase the gravitational pull, yadda yadda... That never happened, either.

We might as well add whenever there is a basketball game (pounding the ball on the floor triggers earthquakes).

That was called the "Jupiter Effect." I still have the book by that title. The planets lined up in 1982. And guess what? Nothing happened! Those who claimed something would happen kind of faded away, just like kidcanaduh did right after March 21 when nothing happened (seismologically), either.

You didn't mention Feb. 9, 1971, 6.6, the Sylmar quake -- my first big quake!

Fall and winter 2008 begins Sept 21 and Dec 21. The year isn't over..yet. I didn't fade away I see no point bumping a qukae thread when I didn't expect one in the spring summer.
Sure there are quakes in spring or summer off season. It rains in the winter, and sometimes snows in summer. This doesn't mean we extend the winter or summer season. Odd things happens. G. I. George Bush got reelected, eh, how odd was this?
We had a major El Nino season in 1982, so something BIG did happen.
And lets not forget the quake off Cali earlier this year, during, um, earthquake season. I called it, but not the location wrong. It should've been more south, but guess what, 4 months later Chino got it. I expect another shaker in cali within weeks. One that gets people talking again, not you're everyday wee one that you refer too.

I was only listing ones that didn't happen in the so-called "earthquake" season (Fall & Winter, according to mythology).

But last season (fall and winter) you predicted a large quake would hit California. Nothing happened, so you faded away!

Meteorology and Seismology are two different things. You REALLY should read books on those two subjects!

That is not so odd. Several presidents have been reelected.

Which had no relation at all to the "Jupiter Effect." There were also El Nino events in 1997 and in 2004 and the planets were not lined up.

Ridiculous. Anyone can predict that an earthquake will happen! So tell me, when will the next 5.0 or larger quake happen? What magnitude will it be and what area of California?
... Wait a minute... aren't you the same guy who was claiming that it got dark one hour later last winter? (And then you changed it to 30 minutes later?) Which didn't happen, btw.
As I said, read some actual books on Seismology then get back to me.
