Default Strong earthquake off Guatemala

An earthquake is the result of a sudden release of energy in the Earth's crust that creates seismic waves. A magnitude 6.8 earthquake has struck offshore Guatemala on June 13, 2007, at a depth of 64 kilometers and some 115 kilometers from the capital, the US Geological Survey said. See the Guatemala map about the news. Guatemala is a small country in Central America. The earthquake struck off the Pacific coast southwest of the capital Guatemala City, 135 kilometers west-southwest of Santa Ana, El Salvador and 155 kilometers south-southeast of Quezaltenango, Guatemala at 2:29 pm (0059 IST) according to the US agency.

Next 5 or better will be before the end of the year. Possibly within a few weeks from today. Yes, earlier this year (2008) I did tell you stayed lighter out longer in 2005 because it did. I said one hour but when I checked, and posted what was actually said in 2005, it turned out to be 30 minutes or so, not one hour. Big deal. I was still right.

Yeah, that's what you said earlier this year... "a 5+ quake before March 21." Didn't happen.

Any proof of that? It didn't stay light longer out here.
Anybody else here on C-D notice any longer days (longer than usual) last winter?

That's true. Maybe that is why kidcanaduh is so confused.

No, the quake was in 2005. The light change was noticed in Jan 2006, by someone in, um, Caliornia. He posted it on a board and I watched the skies to discover he was indeed correct.

Fleet, I did post the info from the site on the other link we have going. I'll see if the guy who noticed it will join here and tell you for himself.

Also, you haven't replied to the post in the earthquake thread in the california section.

I didn't see any kind of story which said that sunset was different in 2005 than any other year. Just accept it; nothing changed!
