Default Dogs In LA

Hey everyone. I was hoping there were some dog owners here who could help me out.

I'm trying to figure out all the different things to do here in LA with a puppy. Are there cool places to go? Different events? Cafes and restaurants?

I'm just curious as to what sort things there are to do.

Other than the dog park, places I would go were Runyon Canyon Park - could walk for hours there. It's great for high energy dogs and dogs who enjoy long walks, but will be too much for a puppy. I know there are a few pet friendly establishments I'd go to and I found more here Los Angeles | Modern Dog Magazine ~ Urban Lifestyle. Google and talk to other dog owners, they'll know where all the places are. Also if pet press (a free magazine you can pick up all over the valley and LA) is still around - there should be a guide.

Just one of the many places I miss. I live near to lots of wooded areas here just outside London so have a choice of places to take my dogs, but they don't have the rugged appeal or the view as the LA Canyons do...I'm green with envy...look -------------->

I don't know where you are. Long Beach has a designated dog beach. Silverlake has a great dog park. Ruyon Canyon of course...I generally take mine wherever there's a sidewalk cafe such as Los Feliz Village, Franklin Village, Melrose, 3rd St, Beverly...you get the idea. I do one naughty thing. I go down to Santa Monica late and let them run on the beach. It's not legal but cops have seen us and don't seem to care.
