Shoe Repair Suggestion? - BH WeHo Area (Pasadena, West Hollywood: price, shop)

Can anybody suggest a good shoe repair place in the Beverly Hills/West Hollywood area? I had one in Pasadena, but with the price of gas these days....

i can't recall the name, but there's a cobbler on sunset and fairfax, next door to the rite-aid store. his 'real' gig is making custom shoes for hollywood, but he also does excellent repairs.

If Katenik's recommendation doesn't work out, try "Yid Row" as it is called - Pico between Beverly Drive and Robertson or even Fairfax (or try Fairfax itself/the Fairfax district).

There are a lot of old-time skilled tradesmen in this area, and the one I use is pretty good - he has a small shop on Elm Drive just north of Pico on the right hand side (across from the Citibank building).

This is 1 block south of Beverly Hills in west LA.

just remembered: the store i referenced above is called andre #1. it even has a website. ANDRE # 1 Custom Shoes & Boots
