The rent is really due on the 16th - she did not want to pro rate the first month and did not want to wait another 2 weeks to fill her vacancy.

Try to talk to her. What did she say when you wanted the deposit used towards the rent? The process takes time. You will have enough time to moved out by now and then. She might file the paperwork, depends on the landlord but I seriously doubt it. Just leave the place in good condition.

Yes to your first question... the Sheriff only becomes involved after the Judge has decided the case...
No to your second question... I've never seen an 11 day eviction from start to finish ever...
Sometimes it takes 10 days just to get a date for the Sheriff to come and post the property after the Judgement.

mroldtown, it is the holidays I really wouldn't worry about a sheriff or paperwork filings. The end of the month is approaching. It seems as though she really needs the money too, she might not be making a lot from this rental. So if you are leaving is more reason for her to be stressed out.

yes - I dont want any trouble with this woman - The place will be left in great shape - actually in better condition than when I first moved in. She was still moving her belongings out while I was moving my stuff in - and she didnt have it cleaned either -
