The Black Panthers! I've only heard about them in black comedies! Are they even a gang now? Or more like the ghetto version of the NAACP? lol. The KKK on the other hand, that would be something to be scared about. ;-)
They were a violent political extremist group based in Oakland in the late 60s and early 70s, not a gang. Their leaders are mostly dead. Any of them still around would be in their late 50s and 60s right now, and AFAIK they no longer exist as anything like an organized group. They're certainly nothing to be scared of in 2007.

The most noteable group in Aliso Viejo today is the Minutemen, which was founded by resident Jim Gilchrist. (They aren't racist though.)

Exclamation By The Way . . .

I've seen that about 300 people viewed this post. If everyone of those 300 people would just vote, it would really help! I know some of you may think I'm joking, but I really do need help with this.

Maybe 100 people viewed this thread three times. Or 50 people viewed it... well, you get the idea. While other people's opinions are valuable, nothing beats actually going to various places and seeing if they're a good fit for you. What one person loves, another person might hate. Just something to keep in mind as you search. You've actually gotten some pretty good feedback.

Be careful of any company that charges you to find you a rental. If you do some research on the internet, you'll find that some of these companies are scammers!

since i have only been to south pas, pasadena and burbank out of the options i must say pasadena all day. and if i had visited those other places i would probably still say pasadena. it has it all. multitude of variety restaurants. light rail. freeway accesible. mansions. history. a roscoes chicken and waffle (not to mention adjoining hood). it has it all.

What about beaches? Is it a place for families, or for college kids? What are the people like there? And is it more woodsy (like Agoura Hills) or more like Laguna Beach?
