Default Normandie and Artesia apartments

So i just talk to a friend of my and she said there are apartments behind the SAM's CLUB on Normandie and Artesia apartments that houses a significant Asian populations. Does anyone who lives around the area can confirm this?

I'm just looking for a safer area for one of my relative in gardena.

I have an asian relative living (in a house) just NW of there... it is quite safe and close to the old-school Japanese parts of Gardena... but as you may know, there are tougher north and east areas of Gardena around there. Vermont is the real east-west dividing line... but Normandie also goes through a lot of semi-industrial areas that you wouldn't want to stroll around at night. The intersection of Gardena and Vermont has some of the best places in LA County for Peruvian and Hawaiian food... but is also very low income. I think that everything south of Artesia is more solidly middle class tho. Unless things have changed there is a Krispy Kreme right on that corner and what could be more middle class than that?
