Man thanks, Snb, Dennis, Majoun, I feel like a million bucks! I feel your support is very helpful to my decision of pursuing this career! LOL, it's still early, but hopefully I saw these great quotes from some sincere dudes.

I know Huntington Park has a Home Depot. Shall I check to see what other businesses reside in the city limits?
VONS needs to build a location in H.P.

I am thinking of working in law enforcement for the LAPD, because I want to end "street terrorism." Huntington Park is more serious than most inner-city Los Angeles neighborhoods friend, MS-13, Florencia 13, and La Eme are all in there. There are many good, hard working latinos, legal or illegal, who make a decent living and want no part in that. I believe the area can turn around though, I'd much rather live in South Gate or Paramount. You should move out!!! Have you thought of that?!

Yea and I have been trying to save up to move out. But it is not that easy

I don't know how much traveling you've done, but much of the United States is very beautiful! I feel for you, I would honestly make the best effort possible to get out of there when you can. There's so many good people in H.P., who are decent folks. Their are some major gangs in the area who believe in racial cleansing, and that's nothing short of terrifying. What states have you visitited? What climate do you enjoy?!

HP has some nice areas. nice big old houses. HP just celebrated its centennial. has a lot of history but the neghborhood has changed. it is a predominantly latino city, and has recently seen a surge in apartment construction which has resulted in it being very crowded. it has pacific boulevard which was the historic shopping center of los angeles before malls and such. pacific was lined with all the old school department stores and even had several movie houses(which are now converted into evangelical churches and such). back in the day the racial line was drawn at the intersection of slauson and alameda. on the other side it was black los angeles/ south central. and on the HP side it was lili white. then mexicans moved into both areas and both blacks and whites moved out. i would like to see more race mixing, ala frisco or NY, but who knows. hp is not all bad tho. it has nice houses. even parts of walnut park(unincorporated la county, like east los) are nice. thats the nicer area. but that of course borders florence and watts. so like any other place you have your nice streets and your bad streets. if you ask me all the southeast area is up and coming. HP will soon have major chains. it has a ballys. home depot. several starbucks. a crispy creams. all it needs is a kinkos.

ya i spoke of that already. the area bounded byt the 10 to the north and the 105 to the south and in between the 110 and 710 has none of that. the south central and south east area does not even have a kinkos. well closer to downtown there is a broader variety of stores but not in these working class areas.

Boyle Heights just got its first Starf**ks, so the chain seems to be open to locating in underserved underprivileged communities. Maybe they'll open up one in the area you mention next.
