I grew up in North Long Beach back in the early 80's. Wasn't too bad then now I think it's pretty bad. I went to Jordan High school, now it looks like Pelican Bay. It's still not as bad as South Central LA, not by a long shot.

Go to realtor.com and check out some of the suburbs of Tucson area. 200K gets a pretty home especially now. I saw some killer looking townhouse on a golf course going for 145K, talking 3 bed 1700 sq ft.
