I am going crazy looking for parking for 30 minutes every night (Serenity Now!). I will get used to it eventually but I thought I would ask if anyone knows of alternatives to parking on the street. I think it is probably too expensive to pay a garage; if there are any in Los Feliz. My room-mate has the one spot underneath our building and I started wondering about residents living here who do not have a car. Can you get those spaces? Would you go to the tenant or the building manager? Can you pay for this? Just frustrated and curious. (yeah, I used a semi-colon)

If the parking space comes with the unit, the tenant should be able to allow whoever they want to park there. But I would check with the landlord because soemtimes people are given a rent reduction if they give up their parking spot. The landlord will also be able to tell you which tenants might be willing to share/rent their space to you.

Move to a place with a preferred parking district.
Move to a place with more dedicated parking spots.
Walk.

find out which neigbhors of yours don't use their spot in the garage and see how much they would charge you for daily access to it.

LOL Seinfeld.

Los Feliz has parking in the neighborhoods off of the main streets. At least for my GF. There are a lot of spots surprisingly off of Lowry and Rowena behind our APT. I pay $100 more a month for a garage in my apartment.

I'd ask either your landlord, or put a posting in the building to either rent out a space.

I lived in an APT on the westside a while ago and asked the land lord the same thing and gave me a spot for free (or at least until new tenants showed up)

You should definitely be able to get a garage space for an extra amount added to your rent. Ask your landlord. How come your roommate has the parking spot? Does he/she pay more? If you guys share the rent 50/50, then he/she should pay half of the amount of the fee to have an extra space. Just saying...

I'm third man out. Staying with a friend and his girlfriend and not paying 1/2. Lucky to be here actually. I will find a space around here. Got my second ticket in two weeks Wednesday morning. Overslept and missed street-cleaning move by 10 minutes. These guys must be on commission. Did a lot of muttering Wednesday. Otherwise, I love LA.

Nobody told you they sit at the end of the block waiting for time to start? Shame on your friends.

Los Feliz will soon have permit only parking but only east of Normandie/south of Franklin.

To me the street parking situation is the one downside to living in this part of Los Feliz. As you probably know, late morning and afternoon until just before 5 offer easy parking and that the night before street cleaning is the worst.
