Thanks...and it's not just a freeze with LAPD it's one with all state jobs. I see people don't keep up with the news much these days...people with state jobs are making minimum wage...no matter what your salary is...sad situation. I hope it's over soon.

Yes this is a forum for people to ask questions. Yours makes no sense.
What rational, reasonable person believes that if the people one wants a job from, don't know when they'll be hiring that people who have no affliation with the organization will have more information? The most sense is to go directly to the source. You just don't like the answer you received, which is, "If you really want an answer, go to the source." Because you don't like their answer.

If you're this bad at accepting information from LAPD now, how will you feel when they are giving information about how they want you to your job? Are you going to come to the forum (again) and ask us to verify what they tell?

CESpeed...relax homie! She doesn't know if someone on here is either a cop or in the same dilemma! She can ask ANY question she wants and it is up to the moderator to "yea" or "nea" it. Damn, we all have to deal with some of your ignorant comments!

Nicole_Bell...As a government worker I would have to say that your problem has to do with the fiscal year. The end of September is the end of the fiscal year for all government agencies; thus, they probably don't have any funding and need to wait until their 09 budget gets approved. I would check back with them after September...with how most goverments agencies work (federal and local) you are probably not going to have any luck until after the holidays! Sorry for the bad news, but I hope this helps!

Ignorance is believing that people in a relocation forum have more information about whether or not an organization is hiring than the organization itself.

Thank you very much. Nice to get perspective from someone who worked for the GOVERNMENT which was what I was looking for.

Why do you continue coming here? You have no input whatsoever so keep it moving. Thanks.

Because this is a public forum. If you only want certain people to answer, that's what direct message is for. If you ask a question in a public forum, you invite public responses. Not just the ones you want to read.

You're welcome.

You don't have enough sense to make me feel safe with you carrying a gun.
If you have a pulse most of the time, that's good enough for the LAPD these days.
