Hello all,

I've been living in San Diego for a few years, and I'm very close to getting my master's degree in film. I'm looking to move to Los Angeles within the year.

I currently live in a little studio connected to a house that the owner lives in. He added the studio himself and rents it out. It's been an excellent arrangement, and I'd like to look for something similar in Los Angeles.

Does anyone know of any websites or methods to go about looking for something like that? I'm not entirely sure of the areas I'd like to look yet (I've seen many ideas already on this forum), but areas aren't necessarily as important as availability at this point. I'd search for living a house addition as well, but I'm not entirely sure what to search for.

Thanks in advance for the help, everyone.

Thank you for the recommendations, but I'm already aware of craigslist and westside rentals. Any others, or is there a better way to look for a guest house/addition?

No, as far as I can tell, craigslist is the great guest-house mecca.
