On Saturday, Sept. 6th, I was in both Hollywood, and my home in Toluca Lake, and saw several fly-overs of military helicopters at both locations.
In total, I think I witnessed about 5 flyovers all day.
My husband is an ex-Marine, and says the helicopters in question are used to transport troops, and was surprised at the sight, because those helicopters are not supposed to do training over civilian areas.
The world is particularly unstable currently, and it would be out of the question if something were going on, even right here in our own city. They were obviously getting ready for something. Perhaps finding locations to drop troops when they order marshal law?

See them all the time here. Probably just training or transporting
Dont think so. You probably live out in the boondocks Orange County where you may see them a lot, but not over the Valley. Saw the same two helicopters over Mailbu yesterday as well.
I haven't noticed any of these copters anywhere on the westside. also, i raced in the LA triathlon yesterday which took me all over the city and didn't notice them then either.
maybe the military plans on letting the westside burn??!?!?!??!
Speaking of panic, martial law, worst case scenarios is how misconceptions and bad information flourishes. People are odd ducks and on the internet, there is no telling how many people read the "martial law" post and then stopped - spreading that to other sites. Don't be worried until those choppers are clearly non-American.
Supporting the troops involves supporting their activities during training here in the homeland too.
