Must be. If these big choppers are flying so low and constantly flying over peoples houses you think someone would have snapped a shot with a cell phone cam or something. It's not like a chinook flying at this altitude can sneak up one you. Maybe the helicopters are painted with special paint so they disapear on digital photos...

Default Helicopters AND Fighter Jets

Yes, I saw the double prop helicopters flying around the Sepulveda basin on Tuesday, and then about 15 minutes ago, 4 black fighter jets flew VERY VERY VERY LOW over the house (I thought a commercial jet was crashing as we are in the early stages of the Burbank flightpath). Were they scrambled for a specific reason (other than this being 9/11) or just for show? Anybody else see them?

I saw the helicopters on Saturday and Wednesday, here in the San Fernando Valley. Saw about 4 on Saturday flying over the Van Nuys/Sherman Oaks park, and 2 on Wednesday over the same park. Didn't think anything of them, figured it was some kind of training exercise.

I wish they'd fly over me again when I'm home so I can get some pictures. I was driving the two times I saw them before.

Well, of the two times I saw them, the first time (Saturday) I was in the back yard standing in my "being built" pool, watering down the gunite. I didn't have a camera of cell phone on me, but I did wave... They were going East.

The second time (Wednesday) I saw them I was sitting in my kitchen, heard them, looked out the window and saw them flying by, this time going west.

Every time I hear them, but not seen them, it was night. I have yet to see them anywhere else besides when I'm at home.

This is a very odd sight so I am trying to get some info from some friends in law enforcement to see if there is anything going on.

As of right now 10:00PM they flew over Woodland Hills again.
Arnold must be moving house!!

Well a couple of Chinook at low altitude are going to get people's attention. Not only are they HUGE helicopters, they sound like the end of the world when they're 200' over your head and they're a type of helicopter rarely seen around here. Just like I don't notice all the private and commercial planes flying around here every day but I'd sure notice a pair of B-52's flying so slow I could wave to the pilots.
