Will be working in oxnard near rice street And e Gonzales . What would be the commute from malibu to this area ? I would star at 8:00 am and finish at either 7:00 pm or 3:00 pm. Is this doable and is pch often closed do to land slides or accidents?

Its do-able. I know where that is in oxnard.. I used to commute from North Malibu ( Ventura county line) to Oxnard every day. I don't live in malibu proper though I live in Ventura County Yerba Buena I live north of Trancas and it's really close to Oxnard. If you live near cross creek/ downtown Malibu or Topanga Beach or closer to Santa Monica/Pacific Palasades its still do-able to drive everyday but its waaay further thats an maybe hour to as long as hour and 15 minute drive each way .

Thank you for the response. What part of malibu would be a 30- 35 minute commute to that part of oxnard?

I used to live up Decker Canyon, which is a bit North (or west I guess) of Trancas. Between Malibu proper and Oxnard if you will. It never seemed like a long ride to Oxnard to us.

I would think anything from Trancas/Broad Beach and on toward Oxnard would be a very easy drive. I don't recall PCH being closed much for landslides. Car wrecks, yes sometimes. My drive was opposite of yours though, about a 20 minute drive for me to Pepperdine.
