Hey everyone. I'm gonna be graduating college in a few months and have decided to move to LA. I have some family in Glendale and Brentwood, but no friends or anything really. Basically, I want to figure out which areas or neighborhoods might be fun for a single 22 year old. Of course, I want to be in a relatively safe area, but a little grit never hurt anyone. Also, I'd like to be somewhat close to Staples center since I have season tickets to the Lakeshow.

In all, I'm just wanting suggestions for the type of place I could work, live, but enjoy people of my same age. Also, looking for good bars and nightclubs.

Thanks In Advance!

What about staying with your friends in Glendale? It's close to cute Pasadena (yes, before anyone says anything, I know Pas has a "bad side", but it really is a cute, fun town with lots of shopping and eating if you're into that). It's not so horribly far from LA as some other areas. It can get you local to a lot of things.

I have a few family members in Glendale, but there is no way I'd live with them. Really I just want something that has a similar age group or lifestyle.

I recommend Hollywood, West Hollywood, or the Fairfax District/Miracle Mile area. All of these areas are centrally located, full of young, hip, and creative people, and have a significant concentration of clubs, bars, restaurants, and shopping options.

Go with Brentwood, Westwood is right there, the campus of U.C.L.A.
