east pasadena question (San Gabriel, Sierra Madre, Nice: homes, neighborhood, shops)

hi all,

I am in the process of searching for a place to open up my new business. One possible location is East pasadena - around Foothill and San Gabriel blvd. anyone have any feed back about this area? I am looking to do a gym/martial arts studio.

- how would you classify the neighborhood? rich, normal, poor.
- would you walk around by your self at night?
- would you come to shop in this area from pasadena and other neighborhood?
- any other inputs.

Most of the shops are along Colorado Blvd & Foothill Blvd. San Gabriel Blvd crosses both.Many Expensive homes.Pretty busy there.Sierra Madre Bllvd is North East. Nice quaint area of Pasadena,very artsy. Anybody can walk around at night in any city,not sure what you mean.Safe? you'll be the judge.

my workout also needs people to run outside. would housewives feel conformable doing this in the dark in that area?
