Default Advice on a particular area of Pasadena

Hi All,

My wife and I have just moved to LA for work and we know we would like to settle in Pasadena. We know Old Pasadena and SW Pasadena are nice, but we are struggling to find something that matches our requirements.

We have however found a town house that we like, that falls between E Colorado Blvd and E Del Mar Blvd on Oswego St.

Does anyone know this area? We drove it today and found Colorado Blvd to be quite commercial (car show rooms etc etc), but Oswego St is quiet and residential which is what we are looking for, and it's not that far from Old Pasadena etc.

Can anyone offer any advice on this area, is it safe, anything we should look out for?

Many thanks!

That area is very safe! I have friends that live just south of there (on Del Mar)... whenever I leave their place late at night, I've always felt safe and comfy walking to my car. Its a quiet, residential area.

Second that. It's a nice area. A little far from the "heart" of Pasadena and it would be trek to get to the shops on Lake Avenue or into Old Town. Location is also kind of stuck between 2 gold line stops if that's important to you.

That is a great area! Mostly townhomes and nice apartments. I have sold an old condo that looked like an apartment about 4 years ago just near Oswego. There are a few that was built around that time.
Good luck in finding one!
